I want to thank my partner in crime, Nancy, for starting this blog! I meant to post to it earlier, but spent most of my afternoon trying to craft some clever eBay listings so everyone could see some of the cool stuff we have.
I've been postponing listing some things though...because I can't identify them, and I hate putting something out there that I don't know the history of! Here, to the right, is a picture of the entire group. So I'm pleading with you, the "reading audience", to give me some hints and/or insights into what these are and where they were made! They appear to be pewter, but with a dull finish. There are 3 different sizes and shapes. The smallest ones look like the little cups that you are served drawn butter in at a seafood restaurant. The two bigger ones (in the back row) look like sugar bowls or possibly ice cream cups (?). The closest thing I've found to the four shallow ones (3 stacked on the very right) was called a wine caddy, but these are only about 3" in diameter so it'd have to be a really skinny wine bottle ;) Oh, yes, the shallow ones all have a number inscribed on the bottom - 90182 - and a small logo that looks like a brandy snifter (see picture at bottom).
At any rate, it's been a great weekend, even with the rain, because we really needed the rain, but I did get a little worried when it appeared there was a tornado headed for Jasper. I have a new car on the way, and the dealership is in Jasper, so I was praying that the tornado wouldn't head up there and destroy my new car!
Well, let me know what these are, ok??
